What?

Pilates is an exercise method developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates.  It is designed to balance the body and mind through controlled and precise movements.  In Pilates, focuse is on posture, strength, flexibility, coordination and breathing

Basic

In this class we learn the basic principles of Pilates. We practice taking the correct posture, we learn breathing techniques and do mobility exercises.
It is an ideal class for beginners, people in rehabilitation, elderly,.. but it is also good for experienced Pilates practitioners to occasionally return to the very beginning, where it all began.

All Levels

This class is open to everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners, as we can adapt each exercise individually.

Advanced

Have you mastered the basics of Pilates and are you ready for some more challenging exercises? Then this class is for you.


There are currently no advanced classes taking place.

If you are interested, send me a message and I will put you on the registration list. If the first advanced lesson goes ahead, I will inform you.

Language

The group Pilates lessons are taught in Spanish. Since the groups are kept relatively small, I will do my best to address you personally in your own language (Dutch, French or English). All exercises are also always demonstrated so that you can easily follow the group.

As a physiotherapist I can highly recommend Pilatesas part of rehabilitation programs, as it helps to recover from injuries and prevent new ones. The controlled movements and emphasis on muscle balance and stability make it a safe and effective way to rebuild the body after an injury.

  • Lessons are performed on the mat (available).


  • Small equipment such as the pilates circle, small balls and elastics can be used to improve the effect of the training.


  • Bring a towel and a botlle of water.


  • To guarantee the quality of the lessons, places are limited. This also makes it necessary to reserve your spot, and if necessary, cancel in time (24 hours in advance) so that your place can be filled by someone else.

Location

All classes take place in the large fitness room of the Gym-Fit Costa del Silencio.

Private lessons can also be taken in Arico Viejo or at your home.


The Gym-Fit is located in the main building of the Ten-Bel, above "the pit", on the 1st floor.
